IT'S TIME.

Las mejores ideas y los mejores momentos surgen cuando menos los esperas. Estaba en mi casa pensando que más podía usar para mis fotos y encuentro este huipil de Zinacantán, un pueblo cerca de San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas. Para los que no saben y los que sí, les puedo decir que éste huipil que ahora es vestido para mí , está completamente tejido y después bordado a mano por artesanas de ésta región. Además de ser comodísimo, tiene un trabajo impresionante de bordado que luce donde quiera que estés. Me encantó el resultado! Tenemos tantas cosas tan únicas y valiosas aquí en México que porqué no usarlas?

The best ideas and the best moments arrive when you least expected. I was at my place thinking about what possibly could i wear for my next post, when suddenly i ran into this amazing mexican piece, its called "huipil" from a small town near San Cristobal de las Casas, Chiapas. For those who already knew and those who absolutely don't know what i'm talking about.. This is a 100% handmade blouse, but for me became a dress and its totally knitted and embroidered by mexican craftswomen from this town.

On top of being such a valuable piece, it is so comfy and i really liked the result of the outfit. I found myself thinking if we have so many unique and beautiful things to wear here in México, why not wearing them all?

Estoy aprendiendo a decir que sí... Sí a probar nuevas cosas, nuevos estilos, nuevos lugares y hasta nuevos paisajes para las fotos. Siempre pensé que no era mucho de naturaleza, pero me está gustando, todo el fin de semana la pasé "puebleando" Siento que este tipo de lugares hacen que te sientas libre

El ejemplo perfecto: mi chaleco y éste collar de plumas hecho en casa por mí.  A decir verdad, ésta onda polar en México, me trae loca! no sé si en verdad hace frío o no, así que muchas capas que puedas quitar y poner es la opción estos días.

The perfect example: my fur vest with my DIY feather necklace. This cold/hot weather in México is driving me crazy and sometimes i really don´t know what to wear! So layering is the best option for this kind of days.

Neon comes and goes.

Amo con locura las sudaderas estos días que en realidad, el frío no se sufre tanto aquí en México, así que taparse con una de éstas, es más que suficiente. Escogí combinarla con negro y con mis accesorios favoritos en éstos momentos: un collar grande y mis calcetitas como de primaria pero con más estilo.

I absolutely love sweatshirts these days that the cold isn´t that hard here in México, so wearing one of this, is more than enough to keep you warm. I chose to combine neon with black and my favorite accesories so far: A big necklace and my socks, which kind of remind me my old elementary school ones, but i have to say these ones got more style going on.

Hoy: Thinking Pink.

                              Ayer sólo tenía ganas de ponerme un suéter largo para el frío y todo lo demás se fue armando sólo... Les ha pasado? Que en el momento que menos lo esperas llega inspiración solita. A veces los posts que menos planeas suelen ser los que mejor salen y se me sale lo cursi como con éstas fotos. ¿Ya vieron 3 metros sobre el Cielo? creo que de ahí se me pegó...no dejo de pensar en esa pelí.

Yesterday I only wanted to wear a warm sweater for the cold weather, and evertyhting else came along for itself, sometimes inspiration can appear when you least expected.. and post can be crazy good like these one! and a little cheesy. Have you seen the spanish movie 3 steps above heaven? i think i got it from there because i can´t stop thinking about this movie.

Hoy: Military Green

Fue amor a segunda vista... la primera vez que ví esta blusa, debo admitir que no llamó mi atención tanto, nosé si porqué tenía prisa y revisaba todo muy rápido pero me seguí de largo. Hasta entré a diferentes tiendas, porque según yo nada me había gustado como para comprarlo, ya estando en otra tienda no me la podía quitar de la mente!!!! Y sí, pasó eso que ya todos sabemos.... así que con los minutos contadísimos que tenía, corrí de regreso por ella! y no me arrepiento para nada. 

Love at second sight..... it was exactly how i felt the day i bought this blouse, at the beginning it didn't caught at my attention, i dont know because i was in a hurry, but i walk through and leave it behind, then, when i was at other store, this amazing blouse keep coming to my mind!! and yes!, what everyone know will happen, happen.. so i run as fast as i can to buy it and i don't regret it at all!

Lost & Found

Siempre he creído que las compras ayudan a sentirme mejor, nosé si al final sea cierto pero de que a mí me ayudan muchísimo, no me cabe duda, sobre todo cuando se trata de bolsas, la verdad creo que me estoy volviendo adicta.... ésta bolsita me la compré en un mal día jaja que terminó volviéndose en un muuuy buen día cuando nos encontramos! ahora esta pegada a mi brazo, no me la puedo quitar nosé que pasa!! jaja seguro les ha pasado también.

I've always thought shopping helps me feeling better, i dont know if its really true, but definitely for me is working! specially when it comes to bags, im getting addicted to them!.. this little red bag bought it in such a bad day that finally became a really good one when i found it! now its like kind of glued to my arm i can't get rid of it...i'm sure u have felt this way sometimes too!

Hoy miércoles,  al fin volvió a salir el sol aquí en México! Después de tantas lluvias y un clima que no para de cambiar, se me ocurrió ponerme al fin mis shorts que llevaba guardados ya por un tiempo, lo siento, pero no puedo evitarlo de verdad que me encantan :)

Today its Wednesday, middle of the week! And finally is coming out the Sun again here in México! It´s been raining a lot and the weather has been changing like crazy here.. that´s why today i decided i was going to wear my forgotten shorts these days, Sorry but the truth is  I like them too much :)

 

White thoughts.

Me gustó el título de "white thoughts" para este post porque es como me siento hoy, con la mente en blanco..les ha pasado alguna vez? no puedes pensar en nada.. pero al mismo tiempo piensas en todo...nosé si es por relajación o por todo lo contrario, por sobrepoblación de pensamientos.

Espero les guste estas fotitos, moría por usar algunos de mis regalitos de Navidad, entre ellos mi blusa, mis medias y mi diadema que fue amor a primera vista! La ví y tuve que comprarla y lo mejor, sólo me costo 30 pesos! :) les gusta?.

I liked the title for this post to be white thoughts because that's how im feeling today.....with blank mind, thinking in everything and nothing at all at the same time....have you felt like that?...maybe its relaxation, or maybe the other way around too much toughts on my mind.

Feliz 2012 a todos!! Qué tal la pasaron? yo la pasé súper! y con toda la actitud para este nuevo año!!! nuevo pensamiento! nuevo todo!! Eeee =) Bueno pues estrenando fotos con mi abrigo p r e c i o s o ! que me regaló mi abuelito! Y me vino más que perfecto para este frío que se desató en México, unos días para acá.
